So a few hours ago I came across an article about a county in Georgia where the local high school holds not one but two proms every year, which kinda seems cool. Think about it: two chances for girls to look perfect and for guys to dress to impress ( I for one looked damn good at my prom ), personally I'm starting to think "wow this must be the best county in the whole state, even better than Hazzard county". But, and this is one big But, the reason this county has two proms is that one prom is for the white kids and one is for the black kids..... well now that is something interesting in a completely revolting kind of way. The article puts most the blame at the feet of the parents of the white kids since while anyone can attend the "black" prom, only white students and their families are allowed at the "white" prom.

Now add this to the fact that convicted dog fighting kingpin Michael Vick is out of prison and has a chance to play again in the NFL, something many Vick fans in the Atlanta area are loving. Many considered the sentence Vick served unjust for two major reasons: 1. They were just dogs, he didn't hurt any people and 2. Numerous white athletes get away with worse. To these I reply:
1. Dog fighting is cruel and it's fans and organizers are sick people. It's not a "cultural" thing or an "animal" thing, it's killing a living creature for mere amusement. How about this: Vick can play in the NFL if they cut his balls off? Or how about every time he screws up he gets the same punishment he and his pals inflicted on the dogs who didn't win? Or half his paycheck goes to terribly underfunded animal rescue operations.
2. I say punish all the athletes who break the law regardless of their colour or the sport they play. Simple, they should be held to the same standards as the rest of the world.

So I've been talking about this for almost a year now but I've finally decided to start blogging again, mainly because I've been having a lot of my usually crazy ideas and I want to share them with someone, anyone. For the like 5 people out there who remember Forlorn Hope, I decided not bring that one back, it was a little too personal and far too bitter so it is best left for dead. Great Idea: The Boyfriend Experience

So I've read about something called the Girl Friend Experience. Apparently in the sex industry the GFE is a type of service provided where the escort and the client treat the engagement as more of a date than a session of pure sex, with kissing and other date type things like going out and maybe having dinner or seeing a movie before retiring to the pleasures of the flesh. See it's the perfect fantasy for a guy, a "real" date where you can pick the movie without hours of all your choices being shot down, you can be an old fashioned gentleman and order for her at dinner without being screamed at and at the end of the night you get laid.

So I was thinking why not have the Boyfriend Experience for all the frustrated ladies out there? No sex involved, the BFE would simply be male escorts doing the things the most regular guys out there hate doing: Holding her purse while she shops at the mall, assuring that there is no way that her jeans make her butt look fat, telling her that she is far better looking than all her friends, taking her to the latest lame romantic comedy etc. There is no way that this would not be popular, if the girls themselves are unwilling to pay for the services then their actual boy friends will gladly pay to save their free time.

Like I said at the top: Great Idea.
